Events, free and open.
BAICA runs free events for people working in commerce across the Baltics — retailers, brand teams, developers and students. Every event is practical, vendor-neutral and open to anyone. No sales pitches, no paid tickets.

Baltics AI Meetup #1
Monday, 27 July 2026 · Riga
Venue: Scandiweb office, Riga
Time: 10:00–15:00 (doors open 09:30)
Cost: Free. Registration required — places are limited by venue capacity.
Our first in-person meetup brings together people who are actually putting AI to work in Baltic commerce. A working session on applied AI, a group problem-solving activity, and time to meet peers facing the same decisions you are.
Agenda
| Time | Session |
|---|---|
| 10:00–10:30 | Arrivals, coffee, moving to the board room, introductions and networking |
| 10:30–12:00 | The PATH framework and applied AI in commerce — how AI is being deployed in production today |
| 12:00–13:00 | Break: snacks and drinks on the outside terrace |
| 13:00–14:30 | Group activity: split into small groups, work through a real problem or goal from your business, then rejoin the room to share findings |
| 14:30–15:00 | Wrap-up: next steps, how a lightweight 1–2 day proof of concept works, and closing words |
Who should attend
- Commerce leaders and managers deciding where AI fits — and where it doesn't.
- Ecommerce, marketing and operations teams already running AI tools who want to compare notes with peers.
- Developers and consultants building AI features for retail clients.
- Students interested in AI and commerce careers — you're explicitly welcome.
You don't need any technical background. Sessions are in English.

2026 calendar
Dates below are indicative; exact dates, venues and registration links are published here and sent to newsletter subscribers first. All online events are free and recorded.
September 2026 · Online workshop: AI Readiness for SMEs
A hands-on 90-minute online workshop for small and mid-sized commerce businesses. We work through our four Knowledge Hub guides live — vendor evaluation, customer data, the EU AI Act checklist and the first 90 days of adoption. Leave with a filled-in readiness checklist for your own business.

Baltics AI Meetup #2 — TBA
Our second in-person meetup will move outside Latvia, because BAICA is a Baltic association, not a Riga one. Same format as Meetup #1: practitioner-led sessions and small-group work. City, date and venue announced here once confirmed.
December 2026 · Research webinar: 2026 State of AI in Baltic Commerce — first results
Our flagship survey closes in October 2026, and the full report is released in December 2026. In this online session we present the first results. Attendees see the findings before the report is public.
Our event formats
In-person meetups
Working sessions in Baltic capitals built around real practitioner stories — a commerce business explains what they tried with AI, what it cost and what actually happened.
Online workshops
Working sessions, not lectures. You bring your business context; we bring a structured exercise based on our published guides. Capped groups, free, recorded.
Research webinars
When we publish research we present it live, show how the data was collected and take challenges from the audience. Open methodology, open Q&A.
Student sessions
Shorter formats run with universities and student groups: career-oriented introductions to AI in commerce and routes into volunteering with BAICA's research work.
Never miss an event
New events, dates and registration links go to newsletter subscribers first — then to this page. Roughly monthly. Event announcements, new guides and research updates. Nothing else.
